A MESSAGE TO OUR PROPERTY OWNERS

May 22, 2020

The Wolf Administration has announced today that Summer Camp and areas of public bathing can open under the yellow phase.  The announcement can be found here along with links to further information.    https://www.governor.pa.gov/newsroom/wolf-administration-releases-summer-camp-and-recreation-guidance/

Based on this new announcement, we will be opening the beach and lake for swimming on Sunday, May 24.  Please be mindful of all CDC guidelines including social distancing and group size limitations.

The playgrounds cannot yet be opened, the announcement only allows for playgrounds to be used for summer child care providers and summer youth programs.

We will also be reviewing the ability to open our pool based on the requirements from the state and CDC.  We will keep you posted as we make progress towards opening additional amenities.

If you would like to be added to our Emergency texting program for updated information please send your Name, Lot number and cell phone number to  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

FOR OUR TOWAMENSING TRAILS PROPERTY OWNERS

CARBON COUNTY TO GO TO YELLOW PHASE ON FRIDAY, MAY 22

May 20, 2020

What does this mean for our community?

As of Friday, May 22, 2020, the Towamensing Trails office will once again be open to our property owners during normal business hours as long as Carbon County stays in yellow and proceeds to green.  Only one entrance will be open and we are required to limit the number of people in the teepee at one time.  Please enter on the side with the larger parking area and bus stop building.  Masks will be required to be worn by everyone.  We are asking full-time property owners with non-urgent business to make an effort to come during weekdays to avoid lines and long wait periods.

Short term rentals are allowed in the yellow phase.  These must be registered with the office and rental packets will be provided, however, no wristbands will be issued because the amenities cannot open at this time.   All renters must be registered with vehicle permits as of May 29, 2020.

During this first weekend we will not be processing any ATV/Golf Cart registrations but will begin this when we open after the holiday weekend on Tuesday, May 26.  We will begin full enforcement of registration of ATVs and Golf Carts on Monday, June 15, 2020.

We will not yet be opening the boat rack rentals.  We will be contacting property owners that rented a rack last year for first option to rent the same rack for the 2020 season.  After this has been completed, a date will be announced to rent any remaining racks.

Unfortunately, we cannot open the beach, pool or other amenities in the yellow phase but boating, kayaking and fishing are permitted in our lake.  We will also not be offering the boat rental at this time.  We will also be very restricted on what, if anything, can be opened in the green phase.    For more detailed information on the restrictions, please refer to the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society chart.  https://assets.simpleviewinc.com/simpleview/image/upload/v1/clients/poconos/PRPS_Guidelines_52fba720-3ea6-4034-a2db-4f68d69352e6.pdf

You may contact the office using the regular telephone number beginning on Friday, May 22.  The office will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.

You can continue to use your 2019 stickers for ATV’s/Golf Carts and Boats until the office reopens to issue the 2020 permits. The use of our trash site (dumpsters) is available to all Property Owners and long term renters/tenants all others will be required to show their lease.

To make everyone’s transition smooth when the office reopens, anyone who is going to register golf carts, atv’s or boats should have all information ready to  be processed at the window.  Cash or checks only.

During the time that our office is closed, if you would like to burn, please email the office and keep us aware that you are doing so.  Please abide by the usual procedures and call Security 570-722-4054.  For yard debris burning, the phone number will be 570-325-9111.
